Details: Typeface made in 2 months using Glyphs. Project supervised by Laurent Kuhni.
Description: This typeface was made during the class dessin de caractères, in the span of two months. The inspiration came from archives of soviet punk posters that had found ways around the regime to show their wish of freedom through the creative expression. Long, and brutal diagonals mixed with circles were the starting point of research, found in the archives of the iconic group Kino.
Type specimen inspired by the archives of the czech magazine Revolver Revue. Founded in 1985 as an underground samizdat periodical to bypass communist censorship, it transitioned to a legal, public publication after the Velvet Revolution and remains a vital fixture in the Czech cultural scene.
